Terms of Service
Last updated: September 2026
1. Acceptance of these terms
These Terms of Service (“Terms”) govern your access to and use of LeakFinder, available at leakfinder.dev (the “Service”). By creating an account or using the Service, you agree to these Terms. If you use the Service on behalf of a business, you represent that you are authorized to accept these Terms for that business.
2. Eligibility and account responsibility
You must be at least 18 years old and able to form a binding contract to use the Service. You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials, for all activity under your account, and for ensuring the information you provide is accurate and kept up to date.
3. Description of the Service
LeakFinder is a software-as-a-service platform for e-commerce merchants. It analyzes authorized store and advertising data to provide reporting, diagnostics, performance insights, revenue-leak detection and optimization recommendations.
LeakFinder provides analytics, diagnostics, estimates and recommendations. Revenue at Risk figures, potential recoverable revenue estimates, diagnostic findings and recommendations are estimates and suggestions only — they are not guarantees of additional revenue or business performance. Decisions based on the Service remain your responsibility.
4. Connected third-party services
The Service can connect to third-party platforms that you authorize, including Shopify, Google Ads and Meta Ads, with additional integrations (such as TikTok Ads) planned.
Each connection begins only after you explicitly authorize it through the provider's own authorization flow. You are responsible for your own accounts with those providers and for complying with their terms. LeakFinder's access is limited to the scopes you approve, and you can disconnect any integration at any time from the Integrations page or by revoking access with the provider.
Unless explicitly stated in the product for a specific feature, connections are read-only: LeakFinder reads and analyzes data but does not modify your store, campaigns or advertising settings. In particular, the Google Ads integration currently provides reporting and analysis only — it does not modify Google Ads campaigns, budgets, bids or targeting.
5. Subscription and billing
If you install or subscribe to LeakFinder through Shopify, subscription charges are billed through Shopify in accordance with Shopify's billing terms. For customers who use LeakFinder independently of Shopify, subscription payments may be processed by Stripe. The applicable price and billing terms are shown before you subscribe.
6. Cancellation
You can cancel your subscription at any time from Settings → Billing. Cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing period; the Service remains available until then. Fees already paid are not refunded except where required by law.
7. Acceptable use
You agree not to:
- use the Service for any unlawful purpose or in violation of any third party's rights;
- attempt to access another business's data, credentials or accounts;
- probe, scan or test the vulnerability of the Service, or breach its security measures;
- interfere with or disrupt the Service or its infrastructure;
- reverse engineer the Service except where this restriction is prohibited by law;
- resell the Service or use it to provide services to unrelated third parties without our consent.
8. Intellectual property
The Service, including its software, design, text and branding, is owned by LeakFinder and protected by intellectual-property laws. These Terms grant you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable right to use the Service for your own business purposes while your account is active. No other rights are granted.
9. Customer data
You retain all rights to the data you provide and to the data accessed from your connected accounts (“Customer Data”). You grant LeakFinder a limited license to process Customer Data solely to provide and improve the Service for you. We do not sell Customer Data. Our handling of Customer Data is described in the Privacy Policy, which forms part of these Terms.
10. Confidentiality
We treat your non-public Customer Data, connected-account data and stored credentials as confidential and use them only to provide the Service, except as described in the Privacy Policy or required by law.
11. Third-party services
The Service depends on third-party platforms (such as Shopify, Google and Meta) and providers (such as our hosting and payment providers). We are not responsible for the availability, accuracy, terms or practices of third-party services, and changes or outages on their side may affect the Service.
12. Service availability and changes
We work to keep the Service available but do not guarantee uninterrupted or error-free operation. We may add, change or remove features over time; where a change materially reduces the functionality of a paid plan, we will provide reasonable advance notice.
13. Disclaimers
The Service is provided “as is” and “as available”. To the maximum extent permitted by law, we disclaim all warranties, express or implied, including warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose and non-infringement. Without limiting the foregoing, we do not warrant that any estimate, diagnostic finding or recommendation will result in additional revenue or improved performance.
14. Limitation of liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, LeakFinder will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential or punitive damages, or for lost profits, lost revenue or lost data, arising from or related to your use of the Service. Our aggregate liability for any claim relating to the Service will not exceed the amounts you paid us for the Service in the twelve months preceding the claim.
15. Indemnification
You agree to indemnify and hold LeakFinder harmless from claims, damages and expenses (including reasonable legal fees) arising from your misuse of the Service, your breach of these Terms, or your violation of any law or third-party right.
16. Suspension and termination
We may suspend or terminate your access if you breach these Terms, if your use creates a security or legal risk, or if required by law. You may terminate your account at any time. On termination, your right to use the Service ends and your data is handled as described in the Privacy Policy.
17. Changes to these Terms
We may update these Terms from time to time. Material changes will be posted on this page with an updated “Last updated” date and, where appropriate, notified in the product or by email. Continued use of the Service after changes take effect constitutes acceptance.
18. Governing law
These Terms are governed by the laws of [PLACEHOLDER — governing jurisdiction], without regard to conflict-of-law rules, and the courts of [PLACEHOLDER — venue] will have exclusive jurisdiction unless mandatory consumer law provides otherwise.
